Propane Wall Heaters

With the growing demand for cleaner fuels and ongoing efforts to protect the environment, the concept of the propane heater is quickly rising in popularity. Not only are propane heaters environmentally friendly, they are also significantly less costly to operate than traditional heaters. They can also be significantly more effective, achieving upwards of 25 degree higher temperatures than heat pump units. One of the best ways to keep warm this winter is with an investment in one of the many propane wall heaters on the market.

How Do Propane Heaters Work?

Instead of relying on electricity to create heat, a propane heater relies on liquid propane, bought and stored in various sizes of metal tanks. A propane heater is equipped with either an electric ignition or a manual version. Some units incorporate both, allowing the unit to run in cases of power outages. The ignition creates a spark which lights the liquid propane. The flames from the burning propane create a significant temperature spike in the unit's heating elements, also referred to as burners. The propane heater can sometimes rely solely on these elements to radiate heat into a room, increasing the overall temperature. With the majority of propane wall heaters, however, the unit contains a fan mechanism which helps force the heated air into the room, achieving a much larger heating radius than the alternative heat distribution method. Wall units can be mounted anywhere in a room as long as its placement still allows it to connect to the propane source, which is stored outdoors adjacent to the house.

Benefits Of A Propane Wall Heater?

Consumers are quickly beginning to discover the benefits that propane heaters have to offer. They are not only significantly more efficient, there are also substantially more effective than regular heat pumps or electric room heaters. They can be found in a wide array of sizes and designs, perfect for nearly any environment or usage.

The primary benefit of a propane wall heater, as opposed to a standard portable propane heater, is the ability for it to be mounted onto the wall and out of the way. Standard portable units can take up floor space that could be better utilized in another manner. The wall mount capability frees up that floor space for other uses. As consumer demand continues to grow, wall units are beginning to incorporate more modern and stylish deigns, an added bonus for consumers who prefer the units to blend in with the room's surroundings.
